We are hiring a Python Django Lead to drive backend application development, lead a team of developers, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications. This role requires strong technical leadership along with hands-on coding expertise in Python and Django within a regulated enterprise environment.
Lead end-to-end backend development using Python and Django
Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and drive design discussions
Collaborate with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and QA teams
Ensure application performance, scalability, and security
Drive best practices in coding standards, testing, and documentation
Participate in architecture decisions and technical roadmap planning
Handle production issues, perform RCA, and ensure timely resolution
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards
Strong expertise in Python (3.x)
Hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework
Experience building REST APIs with JSON and OAuth/JWT authentication
Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle)
Experience with ORM, query optimization, and caching (Redis / Memcached)
Understanding of microservices architecture
Experience with async processing tools such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka (preferred)
Strong exposure to Linux environments
Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of secure coding practices
Experience implementing role-based access control and data security
Understanding of logging, monitoring, and audit mechanisms
Proven experience leading development teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Experience in BFSI domain or large enterprise applications is preferred

Notice period must be within 30 days
Compensation should not exceed 31.4 LPA fixed
Location strictly Thane (Mumbai)
5 days work from office with alternate Saturdays
