Position Summary:
The SAP Technical Analyst Developer is responsible for analysing business information needs across multiple SAP ECC modules including HR, FI, SD, PM and MM. The role involves planning, designing and delivering technical solutions within the SAP environment that meet business requirements.
The developer will provide innovative and high-quality technical solutions while ensuring system stability, performance, and efficiency improvements in the production environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, solid technical expertise, willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to support multiple teams and stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional technical solutions based on business requirements gathered from end users
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance and maintain ERP systems
• Maintain comprehensive technical and functional documentation
• Interpret business requirements and design high-quality, scalable solutions using best design principles
• Ensure use of standard SAP functionality, code reusability, system stability, performance optimization and flexibility
• Design solutions that meet functionality, performance, robustness and integration expectations
• Provide BAU support and ongoing enhancements in the SAP environment
• Support existing business solutions and assist developers in resolving issues
• Handle production break/fix issues and implement performance tuning enhancements
• Research and implement relevant OSS notes
• Respond to incidents and problems within defined SLAs and KPIs
• Support solution development, maintenance and future system enhancements
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend new standards, tools and technologies
• Support testing strategy, script reviews, sign-off and release processes
Mandatory Experience & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP and related solutions such as HR, CRM, BI, Solution Manager
• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in both new developments and support/maintenance projects
• Ability to work in complex environments and provide specialist technical advice
• Experience in testing and quality control management
• Knowledge of change management processes
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Excellent documentation skills
Key Technical Skills:
• 7+ years of hands-on SAP technical development experience in ECC, Gateway and BI
• Experience in 2–3 full lifecycle SAP implementations (R/3 or ECC6)
• Cross-functional exposure across modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, WM, QM, HR, PS etc.
• Experience in business process review and re-engineering
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
• Knowledge of ALE/IDocs and SAP Workflow
• Understanding of project management methodologies
Strong experience in SAP RICEFW objects including:
• ABAP programming (procedural and object-oriented)
• BAPIs, BADIs, LSMW, BDC, RFC
• Enhancement frameworks and customer exits
• SAP Data Dictionary
• SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms
• Dialog programming
• Workflow development and debugging
• Performance tuning and debugging using ABAP tools (Debugger, Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector)
• SAP and non-SAP integrations via RFCs, ALE, IDocs, FTP, middleware tools such as BizTalk
• Security authorization concepts
• Experience with new technologies such as Web Dynpro, SAP UI5, and FIORI
