Position Summary:
The Senior SAP Finance Functional Analyst is responsible for analysing business information needs within the Finance domain and delivering effective solutions within the SAP Finance system. The role involves planning, designing, and implementing innovative SAP Finance solutions that meet business requirements while improving system efficiency and performance.
The Senior Analyst will promote effective use of SAP Finance systems, deliver efficiency improvements in the production environment, and may occasionally act as Project Manager for specific initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional and analytical capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to support multiple stakeholders and teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional SAP Finance solutions based on requirements gathered from business stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain and enhance ERP systems
• Maintain comprehensive functional documentation in a professional format
• Document final solutions in a clear manner understandable by business users
• Troubleshoot and resolve daily support issues efficiently, minimizing ticket volumes
• Monitor and resolve Level 3 support incidents and assist Level 1 support teams as needed
• Provide BAU (Business As Usual) support for SAP Financial systems
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes
• Assist management in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and team morale
Mandatory Experience & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field
• Hands-on SAP Finance support and development experience within defined SLAs
• Strong understanding of commercial and IT business best practices
• Experience managing multiple projects and activities simultaneously
• Ability to provide specialist advice in complex environments
• Strong testing and quality control management experience
• Working knowledge of change management processes
• Excellent documentation and training material preparation skills
Key Technical Skills:
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO modules including:
General Ledger (GL)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Banking
Asset Accounting (AA)
Cost Centers
Profit Centers
Internal Orders
CO-PC and CO-PA
• Strong cross-functional integration experience with SAP modules such as SD, MM, PS, PP, HR and non-SAP systems
• Experience in SAP Financial application support and BAU activities
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end financial processes
• Familiarity with ServiceNow (SNOW) or similar ticketing tools
• Strong functional expertise in SAP Finance processes
• Experience with VIM and Concur is desirable
• Understanding of ALE/IDocs and Workflow is an added advantage
• Basic understanding of ABAP concepts including code reading, debugging, BDC sessions, and user exits
• Knowledge of project management methodologies including planning, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management
